Guluyambi Cultural Cruise

The Northern Territory Aboriginal Tourism Strategy 2020 - 2030 vision is that we inspire visitors to connect with one of the world’s oldest cultures through immersive tourism experiences, which sustain the Aboriginal tourism sector for future generations.

The Aboriginal Tourism Grant Program Round 8 supports this vision by assisting NT majority owned Aboriginal businesses and organisations to develop Aboriginal cultural tourism experiences and tourism product that encourage visitors to travel to the NT and stay longer.

A total of 6 Aboriginal owned businesses and organisations across the Territory received grant funding.

Grant recipients are

Djilpin Arts Aboriginal Corporation

Djilpin Arts Centre visitor entrance and gallery upgrades including signage, landscaping and lighting.

Support to establish North Horizon Heli Adventure’s tourist hub at Emungalan Road, Katherine.

7 Emu Pty Ltd

Seven Emu Station Online Booking and Payment System Implementation.

Hermannsburg Potters Aboriginal Corporation

Hermannsburg Potters' art centre sewer main connection enhancement for installation and centre reactivation.

Injalak Arts & Crafts Aboriginal Corporation

Injalak Arts & Crafts Aboriginal Corporation’s tourism opportunities business plan development.

$24,100.00

Dalabon Pty Ltd

Dalabon Aboriginal Cultural Experiences Section 19 Land Use Agreement application support, including concreting works for the development of a cultural experience area.

$30,460.00
