Round 6 recipients
The projects that were allocated funding from round 6 of VEEP (excluding GST) were:
- Skippers at Dundee: Refurbish rooms, repaint external building walls and construct a new outdoor daybed with screening $47,950.00
- Oasis Tourist Park: Install a new amenity building including multipurpose room, laundry plus accessible toilet and shower $100,000.00
- Daly River Inn: Build a new sheltered, accessible outdoor dining and entertainment area $100,000.00
- Laneway Specialty Coffee: Fit out of adjoining tenancy to increase capacity through additional seating area inside and outside plus remodel the open plan kitchen $100,000.00
- Stay @ Alice Springs Hotel: Upgrade the barbecue deck area and replace dual curtains in rooms $100,000.00
- Darwin International Airport: Install a wheelchair friendly concrete path, seating and presentation stage for the Gurambai Cultural Trail Experience at Rapid Creek (Gurambai) Conservation Reserve $75,748.00
- Erldunda Roadhouse: Convert one (1) existing motel room into compliant accessible room and bathroom $67,973.19
- Reality Bites Catering: Refurbish the Coolamon Cafe and Madigan's at Alice Springs Desert Park bathrooms including disabled facilities and convert the café to modern service-oriented café and upgrade Madigan’s service area, carpet and blinds $100,000.00
- Acacia Hills Caravan Park: Install a new swimming pool with sitting area and extend the utilities (power & water) to service the swimming pool and six (6) new drive in / drive out powered sites $42,322.00
- Arltunga Bush Pub and Eco Retreat: Renovate the old Arltunga Hotel, which encompasses the kitchen, dining room area and structure $93,826.07
- Darwin Resort: Replace manual guest room key locks with electronic radio frequency identification (RFID) locking system $77,318.75
- Diplomat Hotel: Replace shade cloth over outdoor seating areas and install new boundary fencing with security gates $53,439.00
- Dundee Beach Holiday Park: Install a tropical resort style swimming pool $100,000.00
- Rockstars NT: At Yulara campground install stainless steel benchtops in the kitchen and eight (8) safari tents $42,050.54
- The Purple Mango Cafe and Brewery: Install one (1) family two bedroom cabin and two (2) accessible compliant one bedroom cabins $46,588.22
- AAT Kings Coach Company: Full exterior and interior refurbishment of one (1) 65 seat coach $57,174.79
- Darwin City Hotel: Soundproof acoustic glass windows to reduce noise in 18 rooms $31,615.00
- Paul Arnold Bush Photos: Upgrade the Paul Arnold Gallery with a main feature element, new signage, windows, lighting, display units and kitchenette $100,000.00
- King Ash Bay Fishing Club: Build a new sheltered outdoor camp kitchen with BBQs, tables and seating $78,540.10
- Adventure Rentals: Upgrade five (5) Toyota 4WD Hilux vehicles with aluminium canopies with roof tents, water tanks, kitchen draws, solar panels and dual battery system $100,000.00
- One Mile Brewery: Upgrade and beautify the brewery courtyard $30,000.00
- Leaders Creek Fishing Base: Upgrade two (2) existing luxury Eco tents with fixed roof, walls, windows, doors and connect power and install air-conditioning $34,100.00
- Renner Springs Roadhouse: Upgrade multiple septic tanks and install a new large water tank, relocate the existing tank and pump $100,000.00
- Humbug Fishing: Fit out of existing vessel with nine (9) new air conditioners, eight (8) new beds, interior and exterior dining area upgrades and crane lift and ramp for wheelchair access $56,130.55
- The Locals Alice Springs: Build a designated enclosed quality outdoor dining and entertainment area $39,591.00
