High-profile Australian Instagrammers are road tripping through Central Australia this week promoting the region to millennials.

The social media campaign will target the youth market and show the Northern Territory has the ‘cool factor’ to young travellers, as well as encourage regional dispersal.

The road trip features four popular travel and lifestyle photographers, bloggers and filmmakers who boast hundreds of thousands of followers between them.

The group will promote their self-drive journey from Uluru along the Mereenie Loop through to the West MacDonnell Ranges and Alice Springs. Highlights include skydiving and a camel ride at Uluru, Kaarke Indigenous cultural tour, Kings Canyon rim walk, camping and swimming in the West MacDonnell Ranges, a scenic flight over Alice Springs and an outback stars experience at the Earth Sanctuary.

Chosen for their strong loyal following and millennial audience, the Instagrammers will capture a variety of youth-focused content that positions the NT as a cool destination.

Further content including blogs, articles, photos, videos and drone footage will be rolled out on Instagram in the coming months.

The Red Centre Instagram road trip follows a similar youth campaign for the Top End earlier this year.
