Weekend TODAY gets taste of Darwin

The popular breakfast television show's weather team, led by Stevie Jacobs, broadcast live from the Darwin Waterfront on Saturday and Darwin City on Sunday to promote the Mitchell Street Mile fun run event.

The focus of the content aimed to show the many things to do in Darwin over the Wet Season to help drive more holiday bookings to the NT capital over the lower tourism months.

Live crosses included promotion of the Darwin wave pool as a great place to cool down from the heat, Tai Chi at the beautiful Darwin Waterfront gardens, a taste of traditional bush food from the Aboriginal Bush Traders at Lyons Cottage, the world famous Mindil Beach Sunset Markets, Wharf One barramundi cooking classes, Sea Darwin sunset fish & chip harbour cruise and the Big Buoy Waterpark.
