The Northern Territory Government has reached agreement with the Commonwealth to launch a second round of the Tourism Survival Fund and Visitation Reliant Support program with payments under both programs set to triple.

Under round two of the Visitation Reliant Support program, payments to sole traders will increase from $1000 to $3000 while payments to employing businesses will rise from $3000 to $9000.

Round two of the Tourism Survival fund will deliver payments of $15,000, $30,000, $60,000 and $90,000 for eligible businesses with a turnover in 2018-19 of between $75,000 and $10 million.

Businesses already approved in the first round of these programs will be fast-tracked for consideration of additional support in round two. New applicants can also apply for support under round two.

Applicants will be required to demonstrate a turnover decline of 50 per cent over April to October 2021 compared to the same period in 2019 to ensure support flows to businesses in most need.

The cost of round two will be met within the existing joint $12.5 million funding envelope announced in August.

Applications are now open. For more information visit businessrecovery.nt.gov.au/businesses
