- 22 August 2017
The video, A Journey Through Kakadu, shows the World Heritage listed National Park like never before.
A collaboration between Tourism NT, Parks Australia and drone experts, Salty Wings, Traditional Owners gave special permission for the drone filming, which gives viewers a bird's-eye-view over the Park.
From soaring above the famous Yellow Waters Billabong at sunrise, the video takes in the escarpment of the towering Nourlangie Rock, a deeply spiritual site and home to significant Aboriginal rock art more than 20,000 years old.
It then flies over the cascading waterfalls at Maguk Gorge and Gunlom Falls before finishing with a spectacular sunset at Ubirr lookout.
The new footage will give people from all over the world a tantalising taste of the magic of Kakadu National Park.
Using new technology, such as drones, allows Tourism NT to tap into a new audiences and encourage more visitors to come and experience this natural wonder for themselves.
