Darwin's cruise season is heating up with 10,000 passengers expected over the next month.

The Azamara Quest was one of two ships in Darwin today, having docked yesterday for an overnight stay in the Top End.

As part of the visit, the luxury cruise liner's 690 guests were treated to a unique Territory experience showcasing our art and culture as well as an exclusive concert with Aussie singer, Daryl Braithwaite.

Darwin's cruise season is sailing to a strong finish with a flurry of activity expected over the next four weeks providing a huge influx of visitors to the town and an economic boost for local businesses.

The largest of the cruise ships still to come are the Majestic Princess with 3560 passengers on Tuesday 2 April and the mammoth Explorer of the Seas, which will bring more than 4000 passengers to Darwin on Sunday 7 April.

A total of 75 total cruise ships will visit Darwin over the season, injecting an estimated $87.6 million a year to the local economy.
