The Northern Territory Government is rolling out its new 2023 Working Holiday Maker campaigns to attract hospitality and tourism workers ahead of the Territory’s peak visitor season.

Capturing the essence of the Territory, the messaging will highlight the freedom and job flexibility the Territory provides, from our stunning landscapes and wide open spaces to outback adventures, wildlife, traditional Aboriginal art, cultural and nature-based tourism activities.

Launched nationwide, the Get paid to do this! working holiday maker campaign is targeting young working holiday makers already in Australia.
While NT Backpacking Academy is set to launch in the UK and Germany on the 1st of April.

Both campaigns are designed to appeal to independent travellers aged between 18 – 35, encouraging them travel to the Northern Territory for a fantastic life experience and working holiday.

Tourism NT has partnered with youth trade partners Backpacker Deals, STA Travel and Trailfinders Travel Academy, to provide a conversion point for consumers who have engaged with the campaigns and wish to book travel components and packages.

The new campaigns leverage last year’s working holiday maker campaign, Work Hard, Play Hard which saw 1,000 candidates apply for jobs in the Territory.

And are in addition to the 2023 Global Worker Attraction Program, which will see a Territory delegation travel to the UK and Ireland from 8-14 March 2022, as well as a targeted marketing campaign and in-country information sessions.
