20 March 2023Northern Territory tourism and hospitality operators have been awarded a swag of medals including two gold, two silver and four bronze at the 2022 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, putting the Territory on the map when it comes exceptional experiences.
The Awards, held at Doltone House Darling Island in Sydney, saw Australia’s tourism industry unite to celebrate the premier tourism businesses in the country and reveal the national winners.
Grants to enhance visitor experience
15 March 2023The Territory Government is backing in tourism and hospitality operators with the latest round of the Visitor Experience Enhancement Program (VEEP), which will help businesses upgrade their facilities and entice tourists to the Territory.
In round six of VEEP, there is a $1 million funding pool to help tour operators take on projects that improve the on-ground visitor experience, which keeps tourists coming back and staying longer.
Tourism NT hosts Singapore Trade Mission
09 March 2023The Northern Territory is being promoted as a key tourism destination in Singapore this week as part of the Northern Territory Government’s Singapore tourism trade mission.
Hosted by the Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade, the delegation included Tourism NT, Tourism Top End and 10 NT tourism and hospitality operators including Royal Flying Doctor Service Tourist Facility, Kakadu Air and Accor’s Mercure Darwin and Novotel Darwin Airport Resorts.
NT Parks masterplan released
09 March 2023A Masterplan outlining the strategic direction for the Northern Territory Government’s 85 parks and reserves has been finalised, providing long-term certainty and purpose to park management, Traditional Owners, Territorians and potential investors.

Capturing the essence of the Territory, the messaging will highlight the freedom and job flexibility the Territory provides, from our stunning landscapes and wide open spaces to outback adventures, wildlife, traditional Aboriginal art, cultural and nature-based tourism activities.
Tourism Towards 2030 conference
23 February 2023The NT tourism industry has gathered in strong numbers for the annual Tourism Towards 2030 conferences held in Alice Springs and Darwin this week with more than 150 registered in Alice Springs and approximately 250 attending in Darwin.
Presented by Tourism NT in partnership with Tourism Central Australia in Alice Springs and Tourism Top End in Darwin, the conferences featured a range of inspirational and educational speakers designed to inspire and grow the Territory tourism sector.
