Tourism NT would like to introduce its senior management team, who will lead the agency into 2017.
The senior management team aligns to Tourism NT's structure, which has been tweaked in order to streamline activities and ensure staff resources are more effectively organised to deliver on our strategic priorities and increase visitation to the Northern Territory.
As part of the senior management team, Jo Smallacombe will be joining Tourism NT as General Manager Marketing for six months commencing 23 January 2017. Jo’s extensive experience in marketing and communications spans a number of industries within the government and private sectors including time working in the media and PR field in London and rolling out digital marketing strategies for Telstra.
The other members of the senior management team are Angela Collard, who has been appointed divisional Executive Director of Tourism NT, Valerie Smith who will be the General Manager of the Planning and Policy area which has been retitled to Destination Development to better reflect what that team has been doing in terms of influencing aviation capacity, investment in tourism infrastructure as well as product development and John Di Maria, General Manager Centre Region.
Relevant positions within Tourism NT has been transferred to the renamed Destination Development team to provide a cohesive approach to enhancing the supply side of tourism including cruise and sector development (eg; mountain biking, bird watching, walking trails etc).
