Celebrate Christmas In The Field Of Light


Those seeking something different this festive season can enjoy a truly unique Christmas celebration in the spiritual heart of Australia, surrounded by the stars and the twinkling lights of Field of Light Uluru.

On 25 December a special Night at Field of Light is on offer, complete with a festive menu. This memorable 4½ hour experience includes an introduction to the internationally acclaimed Field of Light Uluru, where guests will enjoy sparkling wine and canapes from an elevated viewing area as the sun sets over Uluru and the Field of Light comes alive.  There will also be extended time for guests to immerse themselves in the magical installation following their sumptuous three-course Christmas buffet dinner featuring both traditional dishes and bush tucker-inspired fare. 

This special Christmas evening under the stars is priced at $260 per adult and $130 per child (10-15 years), including return coach transfers. Guests can also choose to arrive in spectacular style by camel or helicopter for this experience.

The Lost Camel Finds Its Way Back To Ayers Rock Resort


The boutique-style Lost Camel Hotel will re-open its doors at Ayers Rock Resort on 1 July 2018. 

The compact studio-style rooms are decorated in bright colours and crisp, clean whites. Each room features a sumptuous King Bed (can be separated into two single beds) and a bathroom with a separate shower and toilet and an open-plan vanity.

Matt Wright’s Wild Australia Safari

Marksies "1918 Aussie Stockmans Camp Night"

SEIT Patji Now Available Through The Summer Season!


In partnership with Sammy Wilson from Uluru Family Tours, SEIT Outback Australia offers unique and exclusive touring to Patji, the traditional homelands of the Uluru family south of Uluru.

Traditionally offered as an afternoon tour in the winter season, SEIT Patji is now available through summer from November 2017 to March 2018 as a morning departure, collecting guests from Ayers Rock Resort at 7am on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Guests spend time learning about the oldest living culture in the world from Sammy or one of his family members, joining them for morning tea at a remote shelter to hear how they survived in this environment before tourism started in the region. Guests continue on to a private sand dune to marvel at the expanse of the desert overlooking Uluru and Kata Tjuta while enjoying a light lunch, before returning to the resort.

Nitmiluk Tours – End Of Season For Canoeing


With the onset of the rains and subsequent rising of river levels in Nitmiluk Gorge, the canoeing season on the Gorge has ceased as of Friday 17 November 2017. Pending seasonal rains it is estimated that canoeing will reopen as usual in June/July 2018.
Nitmiluk National Park is open all year round and Nitmiluk Tours continues to offer the Nit Nit Two Gorge Cruise product throughout the season, giving visitors access to the first two gorges of the river system with full guided commentary and an insight into the Jawoyn cultures and traditions.

Alice Springs Desert Park Launches New Living Desert Experience


Alice Springs Desert Park is inviting guests to share the knowledge, walk the land, and unlock the mystery of the desert with the Park’s new Living Desert Experience – daily from 7:30am-9:30am. The new Living Desert Experience allows travellers on a tight schedule to immerse themselves in the surrounds and feel the spirit of the country, as they explore the living desert in a short two-hour informative and interactive guided tour.

Visitors enjoy a breakfast around a campfire with billy tea, fresh fruit, and damper while learning and exploring the secrets of the living deserts.

Dine With The Best View In Town


Alice in the Territory has relaunched their picturesque first level restaurant aptly named MacDonnell View. Paying homage to the magnificent MacDonnell Ranges that provides the backdrop to this property, the restaurant (formerly called Sunaraas) is set to become a favourite celebrating all things Alice Springs.
