SEIT Patji Now Available Through The Summer Season!
In partnership with Sammy Wilson from Uluru Family Tours, SEIT Outback Australia offers unique and exclusive touring to Patji, the traditional homelands of the Uluru family south of Uluru.
Traditionally offered as an afternoon tour in the winter season, SEIT Patji is now available through summer from November 2017 to March 2018 as a morning departure, collecting guests from Ayers Rock Resort at 7am on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Guests spend time learning about the oldest living culture in the world from Sammy or one of his family members, joining them for morning tea at a remote shelter to hear how they survived in this environment before tourism started in the region. Guests continue on to a private sand dune to marvel at the expanse of the desert overlooking Uluru and Kata Tjuta while enjoying a light lunch, before returning to the resort.
With the onset of the rains and subsequent rising of river levels in Nitmiluk Gorge, the canoeing season on the Gorge has ceased as of Friday 17 November 2017. Pending seasonal rains it is estimated that canoeing will reopen as usual in June/July 2018.
Nitmiluk National Park is open all year round and Nitmiluk Tours continues to offer the Nit Nit Two Gorge Cruise product throughout the season, giving visitors access to the first two gorges of the river system with full guided commentary and an insight into the Jawoyn cultures and traditions.
