Tourism Vision 2020 is a road map to grow the visitor economy in the Northern Territory to $2.2 billion by 2020 as measured by overnight visitor expenditure. 

The Vision is being implemented in partnership with the NT tourism industry and other stakeholders.

Tourism Industry Development Strategic Plan 2030 initiated

As the Northern Territory Government's Tourism Vision 2020 comes to a close the Department of Tourism and Culture is initiating development of the Northern Territory Tourism Industry Development Strategic Plan 2030. Announced through Turbocharging Tourism, the NT Government has committed to evolving the next NT tourism vision into an industry-led, co-owned and co-developed strategy. This Tourism Industry Development Strategic Plan will ensure that tourism in the Territory is operating with a shared vision, shared priorities and with shared accountability. The plan will be delivered by December 2018.

Tourism Vision 2020 Progress Summary

The Tourism Vision 2020 progress summary provides an annual overview of key activities undertaken across government and in collaboration with industry, tracking our collective progress towards the NT’s 2020 target in Tourism Vision 2020.
