Commercial tourist attraction at Darwin Wharf

The Royal Flying Doctor Service was the successful proponent of a Northern Territory Government Expression of Interest process to fit-out and operate a major new commercial tourist attraction on Stokes Hill Wharf Darwin.

The development of the new commercial tourism attraction leverages the growing interest in military heritage and the Territory’s history in World War II.

Opened to the public on 26 July 2016, the new attraction provides visitors with a captivating experience of the bombing of the Darwin Harbour during World War II using virtual reality (VR) and holographic technology. The new attraction is the first of its kind in the Territory and a significant tourism drawcard for the Top End.
