Field of Light Uluru Extended until 2020

Uluru’s internationally-acclaimed art installation ‘Field of Light’ has been extended for a second time until the end of 2020.

The solar-powered exhibition is aptly named Tili Wiru Tjuta Nyakutjaku or ‘looking at lots of beautiful lights’ in the local Pitjantjatjara language and it involves more than 50,000 stems crowned with illuminated frosted-glass spheres, spread among the dunes at Uluru.

The installation has drawn international attention since its debut in 2016 and has been viewed by more than 200,000 people since its launch.

DoubleTree by Hilton Update

DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin has commenced their million-dollar refurbishment to upgrade its 197 guest rooms and conference and events facilities. Each guest room will feature a neutral and sophisticated colour palate; cleverly reflecting the tones of the Northern Territory, as well as complementing the hotel’s beautiful esplanade and harbour views.

The design of the hotel's conference and events space will complement the guest rooms with the use of neutral tones throughout, producing a versatile canvas to create any style of event, from sophisticated conferences and events to contemporary weddings and social celebrations.

DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin is set to re-welcome guests on 9 April 2018.

DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs opens their brand new restaurant in February; Saltbush. The name was chosen to incorporate an Indigenous connection to the local flora that is in abundance in Alice Springs. Saltbush has a homely feel and the fit-out gives Saltbush a contemporary look, incorporating neutral tones and earthy textures, providing a modern and stylish new venue for Alice Springs. The new restaurant offers a modern Australian à la carte menu, comprising a unique blend of the best Australian produce and a fresh, innovative menu selection.
